Pink Flamingos will be shown at Eye Filmmuseum preceded by a conversation with Liesbeth Raeven

On Tuesday 7 March Pink Flamingos will be shown at Eye Filmmuseum preceded by a conversation with Liesbeth Raeven (of artist duo L.A. Raeven), who was an intern with Nan Goldin.: On overcoming shame and showing raw reality in film and photography.

Pink Flamingos had an uninterrupted run at New York’s Elgin Theatre, where Nan Goldin must also have seen the film. John Waters’ cult & shock comedy about a collection of competitive outsiders grouped around drag queen Divine became a figurehead of queer cinema. Not for the faint-hearted.
