We are pleased to announce our upcoming solo exhibition The Concept of Self at Ellen de Bruijne Projects, located at Singel 372 in Amsterdam.
In The Concept of Self, we explore the boundaries between autonomy and control, identity and performance, vulnerability and resistance. The exhibition brings together new and recent works that reflect our ongoing interest in the fragmented and constructed nature of the self within contemporary society.
Through video, installation, and performative elements, The Concept of Self confronts viewers with the often-uncomfortable tensions between individuality and social conformity, and the complex interplay of internal and external expectations. We are trying to find answers to questions like ‘Do I have a Self? Am I my sister? Why I can’t be two?
This exhibition marks a significant moment in our practice, since this is an ongoing research we are working on in conversation with scientists, philosophers, and other researchers in the medical field.
Opening: Saturday, 15 November 2025
Exhibition runs through 20 December 2025
